Request the return of legal documents held by Roche Legal
How It Works
Requesting your documents takes just a few minutes. Complete the form below with as much detail as possible about the documents you need and upload your identification. We will review your request, verify your identity and arrange for your documents to be released.
Once processed, you can collect your documents from our office or have them posted to you securely via Royal Mail Tracked, which is available for both UK and international addresses.
You can view the identification we accept in our proof of identity guide.
There are a few things to be aware of before submitting your request.
If a document is held in joint names, each person named on the document must complete a separate form. If you are an executor requesting a Will for someone who has died, all executors named in the Will must complete a form. Where an executor has also died, we will need a copy of their death certificate instead. The same applies if you are an attorney requesting a Lasting Power of Attorney. All attorneys named in the LPA must complete a form, and a death certificate is needed for any attorney who has passed away.
When completing the form as an executor or attorney, select “Someone Else” when asked who the document belongs to. Although the person who made the Will or LPA may have died, the document still belongs to them. We will require the death certificate of the individual with whom the document(s) belong before we release any documents.
If you are unsure about any part of the process, get in touch and a member of our team will talk you through it.
Requesting your documents is often the first step in a wider process. If you need support with what comes next, our team can help.
If you are an executor who has received a Will and needs guidance on probate and estate administration, we can walk you through the process and advise on your responsibilities.
If you are an attorney who needs to start acting under a Lasting Power of Attorney, we can explain your duties and provide ongoing support through our managing affairs service.
If you need to update your Will or put new estate planning arrangements in place, our team can advise on the right approach for your circumstances.
